La mia torta di mele preferita... my favourite apple cake

Le mele sono un frutto bellissimo,
 in cucina trovano molteplici declinazioni
 ogni volta che le divido guardando i semi  il pensiero parte con le prime famiglie di Padri Pellegrini che da Plymouth si imbarcarono per il nuovo mondo portando con se alcuni semi di melo

la mia torta preferita è questa torta di mele, per questa delizia dei sensi ci sono numerosissime varianti...
c'è quella americana piena di spezie profumatissime, la blasonata francese delle sorelle Taten, 
e molte altre ma questa a mio parere è per veri cultori del frutto proibito...

and lot more. But this one is the only for me!







E' molto semplice e rapida da fare ed il risultato è delizioso..
It is very easy to make and it is delicious!



    Preparazione 20 minuti 
 Cottura 40 minuti 
  Forno ventilato 180°
  Teglia 20 cm diametro

  Ingredienti
1kg di mele 
150 g di burro + 50 g
     150 g di zucchero +50 g
150 g di farina
2 uova grandi
1 pizzico di sale
1 cucchiaino di lievito in polvere per dolci
1/2 cucchiaino di semi di vaniglia
1 limone


Preparazione 
Accendere il forno e portarlo a 180°
Sbucciare ed affettare finemente le mele
Irrorarle con il succo del limone al termine
Sciogliere dolcemente il burro
Separare le uova e montare a neve ferma gli albumi
In una ciotola mescolare lo zucchero con i tuorli 
Unire la farina setacciata il lievito un pizzico di sale ed il burro
Mescolando con delicatezza incorporando aria aggiungere gli albumi montati
Aggiungere la buccia grattugiata del limone
Versare in una teglia precedentemente imburrata
Aggiungere le mele e versare i restanti 50 g di zucchero ed i 50 g di burro
Infornare per 40 minuti

Pre-heat the Oven to 180° (350F) 6 
Serves 8
Ingredients 
2 lb dessert apples, peeled, cored and finely sliced
6 oz. butter
6 oz. caster sugar
6 oz. plain flour 
2 eggs, separated
1/2 teaspoon vanilla seeds
juice and grated rind of 1 lemon
 1 teaspoon baking powder
pinch of salt



                                                  Pre-heat the Oven to 180° (350F) Melt the butter
Peel, core and thinly slice the apples and then place them in a bowl with the lemon juice
Beat the eggs yolks with the sugar until soft 
Whisk the eggs white until stiff and fold them into the yolks
Add gently stiring, sieving flour, vanilla seeds, baking powder, grated rind of lemon, melted butter and salt
Pour the mixture in a baking tin add the sliced apples on top 
dust the top  with sugar and butter
Cook in the oven for 40 minutes
